I see a lot of links like these posted on Twitter, but this one struck me because it had a lot of foods that I like to eat in it. I’ve never done a side by side comparison of Sun Chips vs Potato Chips, or Odwalla Mango Tango juice and a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Have you? I also eat Dannon light and fit yogurt every morning and it was the first thing to be mentioned as marginal in this article! It’s always good when someone can call these things to light for me and help me understand why I’m not losing weight even though my choices are “seemingly healthy.”

It’s easy to be swayed by claims like “Fat-free,” “A full serving of vegetables in every ounce,” or the mere suggestion of fruit on a label. But many foods positioned as “healthy” are no more healthy than their “unhealthy” cousins we often label “junk food.” Often when we eat “diet” or “health-labeled” foods (usually consumed at snack time), we think they don’t really count as “real” calories, which means we often feel less satisfied and wind up eating more. Any other “health foods” that you don’t think deserve the title?
